‘Natarang’ which is ad filmmaker Ravi Jadhav’s debut movie as film director has elevated the graph of Marathi films’ quality. ‘Natrang’ is adaptation of Dr. Anand Yadav’s classic novel. It fixed a standard in Marathi movies which are based on rural background. ‘Nararang’ film’s story is regarding Guna Kagalkar (Atul Kulkarni) who is village’s wrestler, he has got bulgy muscle. He is actually farm worker & he spend his life joyfully with his wife (Vibhavari Deshpande), children & his old father (Yakoob Sayeed) also lives with them. Guna gets into dilemma due to his 2 passions, specially his passion for ‘Tamasha’ which is a Maharashtrian dance type with ‘Lavnis’ (seductive songs). His final dream is to perform on a king’s role in ‘Tamasha’. So he teams up in the village with his unemployed friends & he makes his own ‘Tamasha’ group & an expert ‘Tamasha’ performer (Kishor Kadam) aided them to search for ‘dancer’ for their dance group. But later on, Guna himself started to find ‘Nachya’ who also brings hilarious environment in ‘Tamasha’. But at last, he himself plays the role of ‘Nachya’. Even though he was embarrassed but he still did it for his dance group’s sake & then he is given entire makeover, he become thin & shave his moustache. Guna’s group becomes famous but he lost his family for his ‘Tamasha’
